What is the difference between trance mediumship and channelling?
There is no simple answer to that and this is only my opinion. Technically all communication and healing from spirit is channelled. I see the difference in the level at which the connection is made in the physical plane. Channelling is a lighter state than trance. By that I mean the spirit being communicating does not enter as deeply into the physical as they do in trance mediumship. Like trance, channelling can be a light to deep level. I have heard reference to the difference being in the nature of the source of the information but I do not agree. At this time spirit want to communicate with humanity and to do that they need to talk to us without interference. In channelling and trance that happens when the medium/channel is not in control. Having no awareness is not the key, giving up complete control and keeping your mind out of the way is. Every person works differently, that also applies to spirit.
