What is the difference between Traditional and Classical Martial Arts?

0

The difference is in understanding the original make up of the Martial Arts. Not to get into semantics at all, but simply put: Classical is holding to the traditional way it was done by students of yesteryear. Traditional is technically changing with the times. When the words Martial Arts were spoken its underlying understanding was to change with the times. Hence in the old days, you would have learned about defenses against physical attack. Then you started to learn about defenses against clubs and staffs, then swords and other weapons that were common to that period of time. Now in the modern world we do not defend against the sword or most other weapons. To change with the times we now defend ourselves against the gun, knife, bat and stick or stick-like weapons.
