What is the difference between Tiger Lilies, Stargazer Lilies and Waterford Lilies?

0

I have never heard of Waterford lilies. Tiger lilies and Stargazers are both types of lilium, as the family is known. The Stargazer is an Oriental hybrid lily, and the Tiger lily is a species lily. It is really called a Lilium tigrinum, or L. lancifolium. These are old and have themselves been grown to produce white, cream, yellow, and pink blossoms; all with dark spots like the original orange. Stargazers generally bloom later as well, as often as late September is some areas. Most of the time they are August or late summer bloomers. They also produce bigger flowers; up to about 9 inches across.
