What is the difference between therapy and teambuilding?

0

The goal of teambuilding is to unify and align members of an organization together towards a common goal, to improve communication and build a greater awareness of an individuals strengths and needs. The techniques used for teambuilding are the same, the difference is the level of proessing during and following the activities. While therapy clients will leave each session with a thorough understanding of how thier history, thoughts and behaviors affect thier current lives; teambuilding participants will learn more about how the team interacts. This will lead to positive changes in communication and a better work environment. Teambuilding pariticipants will not be asked to share past histories or personal issues. Instead, the team as a whole will process together how to better work together towards the organization’s goal.
