What is the difference between the WIA Education Level and the Educational Level listed above it on the Customer Detail, General Information Tab?
WIA reporting requires you to report the participants highest school grade completed at the time of WIA registration. The WIA Education Level field is used to capture this information for the WIA report (i.e., WIASRD). Once its recorded at the time of WIA registration, it shouldnt be changed. The other education field above it is used to perform customer searches and job matching. If a customers education level changes, this field should be changed. For example, a customer with a high school diploma is enrolled in WIA. Both education fields are set at this level. The customer completes WIA funded training, receives a vocational degree, and is now in job search. The WIA Education Level field remains “High school graduate” (i.e., dont change it) and you change the education field from “High School Diploma” to “Vocational Degree”. The customers record will match with job requiring a vocational degree. Other differences between the two fields are WIA does not include a Masters or Ph.D. lis
