The Commercial models have the appropriate certifications to be used in a Foodservice business and the Vita-Mix® 5200 does not. The Vita-Prep® includes support material designed for a chef. The Vita-Mix® 5200 includes a warranty to cover household use. The Vita-Prep® warranty covers commercial applications.
