The system supports a few different user account types. Instructor level access has “master” access to the entire course site. This allows you to upload documents, change grades, change users passwords, etc.. TA level access is essentially identical to Instructor level access – users that you add in as TAs can do all the same things that you can. The only difference between an Instructor and a TA account is that you can remove other users that have TA level access, but you can’t remove other users that have Instructor level access (in order to have them removed from your course site please contact the system administrators at blackboard@uic.edu.) A good rule of thumb to remember is that a user can ALWAYS remove another user as long as they have a higher access level than the person they are attempting to remove.
