What is the difference between the types of blank CDs?
A. There are some differences between blank music CDs and blank data CDs. Blank music CDs are intended for use with standalone CD recorders that require a digital audio format (blank music discs). Most of these standalone devices will not work properly with a blank data CD. If you’re using your computer for burning music or data to CD, you can use either type of disc. Premium blank discs are manufactured with gold or silver layers; these types of blank CDs are reportedly more resistant to oxidation.
