What is the difference between the two following forms of Vitamin E:d-alpha tocopherol and dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate?
The d-alpha tocopherol form is natural vitamin E, which is derived from soybeans. The dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate form is a man-made synthetic vitamin E. Some studies have shown both natural and synthetic forms of vitamin E to be absorbed equally well, while other studies show that the natural form is slightly better absorbed in the body.
