What is the difference between the terms assasination, murder, and manslaughter?

Oh boy this is a big one! Assasination is generally definded as a premeditated illegal homicide in which the victim was murdered usually because of a political or ecnomical motive. Murder generally refers to an illegal homicide that is usually measured by degrees. First degree murder is premediated. It’s a calculated or plotted action where you fully understand your actions and their consequenses. Second degree murder usually does not include the premeditation. For example, say you decided to rob a liquor store. Let’s say you walk into the store, show the cashier a gun and demand money. Let’s say that when the cashier sees the gun he is an elderly man who takes a heartattack and dies. This type of case would be a case where it would be apprioate to charge the robber with second degree murder, because although you didn’t actually shoot the cashier, he suffered a heartattack and ultimately died because of YOUR actions. Lastly, manslaughter. This is usually reserved for murder that occurs
