What is the difference between the student and professional chapters of EWB?
We believe that a commitment to human development doesn’t end at graduation; EWB members of all ages are continuing to drive positive change in Canada and around the world. Currently, the majority of EWB members are university students at one of the 26 student chapters across Canada. Since its inception in 2000, the majority of EWB’s success has been built from the coordinated action between the EWB National Office Staff and the many student chapters. However, in the past several years, professional EWB chapters have emerged, composed of members who were active EWB members as students, as well as new members who are interested in contributing to development by being involved with an EWB professional chapter. Within EWB, we refer to “professionals” as all non-student members and is not meant to be exclusive to professional engineers.
