What is the difference between the status and condition of an Institutions property control system?

0

The status of an Institution’s property control system is either Approved or Disapproved based on the determination of the cognizant ONR Property Administrator. A property control system is Approved until it is Disapproved. If an Institution’s property control system is initially reviewed and found to be deficient, a status of Presubmission is given and the Institution is granted a reasonable time to bring their property control system into compliance. The condition of an Institution’s property control system is either Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory based on the determination of the cognizant ONR Property Administrator (usually following a PCSA). The failure of an Institution to correct an Unsatisfactory property control system may result in the property control system being Disapproved.
