What is the difference between the SINGLE cylinder version and the DOUBLE cylinder version of the B362N…to warrant the price difference? Is the DOUBLE cylinder more secure against a break-in?
A. A double cylinder deadbolt has a keyway on both sides of the door. You need a key to lock and unlock the deadbolt and this carries with it some pluses and minuses. Security is greater when there is glass nearby, but egress from the building is impeded and maybe in violation of local building and life-safety codes.
