What is the difference between the Silencer and the MegaClamp?
They might look the same, but Silencer and MegaClamp do very different jobs. The Silencer is a mains filter, which removes noise from the mains circuit that feeds your Hi-Fi or Home Cinema. The MegaClamp removes mains spikes and surges. The effect of both of them is to improve the sound of your system. Removing mains noise makes the sound clearer and cleaner with less sibilance; removing mains spikes and surges lets you hear more detail and reduces background noise. Its not a case of using one or the other in your system; both of them will bring different improvements.
