What is the difference between the S-660 Shaved Ice Shaver and the S-500 Snow Cone Machine?
Our website features two electric machines, a Shaved Ice Machine (S-660) and a Snow Cone Machine (S-500). The Shaved Ice Shaver (S-660), shaves small round blocks of ice. Each Shaved Ice Shaver machine comes with 3 round, plastic, ice molds in which you use to freeze your own ice blocks. Each ice block will yield around 2 eight-ounce servings. The ice produced by the Shaved Ice Shaver (S-660) is smoother and fluffier than the ice produced by the Snow Cone Machine (S-500). The Shaved Ice Machine will accept regular ice cubes however it is not recommended. The Snow Cone Machine (S-500) shaves ordinary ice cubes taken directly from your freezer. The snow that it produces is crunchier than the Shaved Ice Shaver (S-660). The Snow Cone machine is the safest machine out of the two for kids. Each machine performs equally as well as the other.
