What is the difference between the Ryman-Carroll Foundation, Ryman Arts and the Ryman Program for Young Artists?
One might track Ryman Arts’ history by the evolution of its names. Legally, Ryman Arts is still the Ryman-Carroll Foundation. Ryman Arts is the organization’s popular name used publicly to streamline communications. We arrived at the name, Ryman Arts, through a re-branding process led by board member Bob Rogers, Wayne Hunt and Ryman Arts alumnus, Insung Kim (Ryman ’93) of Hunt Design. Previous to our name change in 2005, Ryman Arts was known as the Ryman Program for Young Artists, and previous to that, we were known as Herbert D. Ryman Living Masters Program.
