What is the difference between the regular RAMP courses and the new RAMP Seminars?
•RAMP courses provide college credit in the PSU Music Department. RAMP Seminars do not provide college credit. •While providing a similar level of training, RAMP Seminars are less academically oriented than the RAMP courses. For example, there are no tests, and the only grade given in an unofficial pass/fail. •All Seminar coursework is done during class time. In the RAMP courses, some coursework is required outside of class time in our MIDI Lab. •RAMP courses have required textbooks, RAMP Seminars don’t. •The course configuration is somewhat different, especially in the second year of the Seminars.
