What is the difference between the receipt printers?

0

The main difference between receipt printers is speed, printer noise and functionality. Like normal printers if you want a faster, quieter printer and want additional features (auto cutting, etc.) you are going to pay a little more for it. Most of our existing customers use the basic slower receipt printers and these work fine for them and are a cost effective solution. More customers now, have special needs or desires that require that they get more than the basic printer. Some stores typically print long receipts and need a faster printer to keep people moving at the point of sale. Some stores may not like the sound of the dot matrix printer and may choose to go to a thermal printer. Some stores do not like the feel of the thermal stock and choose to go with a dot matrix type printer. And some stores just prefer Epson over Star.
