The Mesh long sleeve fabric is more of an open mesh. It is super soft and makes for an excellent base layer running shirt. Some pilling is normal with this garment. The Alta long sleeve fabric is more of a tighter knit. It is slightly heavier than the mesh. It is low-pilling and low-snagging, so if you are concerned about snagging your running shirt, this is the one for you. These days, we do sell more of the Alta than the Mesh. However, the Mesh was the first long sleeve running shirt we made. We still have many fans of this fabric, because it is so soft.
