What is the difference between the PSAT, SAT and ACT?

0

Colleges see the ACT and SAT scores, and generally require at least one of the two. SAT is more like an IQ test, whereas ACT is focused more around specific subjects and hard facts. This analogy is kind of stupid, but SAT is more about “street smarts” whereas ACT is more about “book smarts.” You can almost BS your way through the SAT if you are naturally intelligent, and of course, doing multiple practice tests over and over again will almost definitely improve your score. On the other hand, if you were, no offense, born rather…slow..? Then no matter how hard you try, you will never peak a certain score. I’m not even kidding here. I know someone who has a perfect 4.0 GPA and poor girl, no matter how much she tries, she will never break the 2100 mark (and this is someone who has been prepping since 7th grade and has taken over 5 SAT’s and is now in the 12th grade). As for ACT…better pay attention in class. You can’t BS your way through this one. Either you know it or you don’t. PSAT
