PSAT: Costs $15 dollars to take and is being held on Saturday, Oct 16th. It is a practice test for the SAT. Juniors can take this to try for the National Merit Scholarship. ACT vs. SAT: In the Midwest most schools use the ACT as their admissions test. However, the SAT is equally accepted. The difference between the two tests is that the ACT is a curriculum-focused and the SAT is an abilities-focused exam. Evaluate your strengths and pick the one that you feel fits your needs. You can register for these on-line or pick up a packet in the Guidance Office. Cost is around $25 per testing.
