What is the difference between the Popcorn Hour and the HDX?
There are a couple of differences between the HDX and the Popcorn Hour but they are largely the same. They use the same menu system and support the same codecs. The differences are that both have different casings, we will let you decide which you prefer. The HDX features an SD slot which is quite handy. There is also a difference in the digital sound output connections on both units – the Popcorn Hour has an optical connection whereas the HDX unit has a coaxial connection, if you are not going to use the digital output then this isnt an issue but if you are you will need to match this up to your amplifier.
