What is the difference between the other branches of science related to Earth Science?
Earth science studies the Earth and it’s processes, including the surface, oceans, and atmosphere. Other sciences study different processes, some of which may be related to Earth Science. For example chemistry is about the study of the interaction and energetics of the elements, some of which is applied in Earth Science. Biology is the study of life, and although it is not typically considered an Earth Science, as far as we know, life only occurs on Earth. Astronomy / astrophysics studies space and objects outside of Earth, but we often study astronomy to understand more about our planet! So, as you can see, although there are many branches of science, they are often focused on improving our understanding of our life and environment on Earth.
