What is the difference between the NPR News iPhone application and other applications that feature NPR or public radio content such as the Public Radio Player?
NPR News is currently the only application for the iPhone and iPod touch that was designed and built by NPR. It contains the fullest set NPR content and offers new options for users. All recent NPR produced content can be accessed through the app, at the show or story level – including text, pictures and audio that users can chose to stream now or store in a playlist for listening later. It is the first app that offers the option to listen and read simultaneously, as far as we know. In addition to the NPR app, other public radio apps are available.
