What is the difference between the navy, marines, and cost guard?
The Coast Guard is exactly what it says, they are basically on top of everything that comes in and out of the USA through the sea.they are the ones that stop all the drugs and anything else illegal from coming in or out of the country. The Navy is a part of the armed forces just like the Airforce and Army. Their job is to protect the shipping lanes, show American sea power and a few other things. The Marines though many of them hate to admit it are a branch of the Navy. A Marine’s primary job is to know how to kill. They do have jobs like aviation, computers, and demolition but those are secondary. The Marines basically know how to kick but when they need to. Now if you are planning to join one it matters on what you want to do. If you don’t want to be to far away from home then i would recommend the Coast Guard. If you want to travel and have a wide variety of jobs i would recommend the Navy. If you want to go through the hardest of all the boot camps, learn how to shoot and kill some
