What is the difference between the Multiple Subject Traditional and Internship Pathways?
The Internship program is available only to people who are employed as a teacher in a California public school with an Internship Credential. You must also have completed a U.S. Constitution course (or the equivalent), and must have passed (not merely taken) with the CSET and the CBEST. Otherwise the requirements for the two programs are identical. You may apply for the internship pathway even if you are not yet employed, and you may take the first summer courses, but you must be employed to continue as an Intern in the fall. There is more information about the internship pathway here or you may call (831) 582-4769. It is possible to begin either the Traditional or the Internship pathway and then transfer between semesters and complete your requirements in the other pathway.
