The MS (Master of Science) degree is for those who do not have an engineering degree (i.e. Math, Physics, Chemistry). The MS in Engineering (Master of Science in Engineering) degree is for those who have a degree in another engineering field other than civil (i.e. Mechanical or Industrial Engineering). It may possible to get this degree if you do not already have an engineering degree by completing specific pre-requisites. Please contact the Graduate Advising Office (ceginfo@u.washington.edu) for more information. The MS in Civil Engineering (Master of Science in Civil Engineering) is for those who have a degree in civil engineering.
