What is the difference between the Microsoft IT Academy program and other Microsoft training programs (i.e., CPLS, MSDNAA, etc.)?
The Microsoft IT Academy model is a full package solution designed to support the delivery of high quality IT workforce development programs through academia. The CPLS model specifically targets business by offering an accelerated training timeline that is not part of an academic degree program. MSDNAA is specific to matriculated Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Science departments and focuses on developer technologies. The Microsoft Academy program is designed specifically for accredited academic institutions to deliver credit and non-credit IT training that maps to a degree track and/or Microsoft certifications. Members may operate as a Microsoft Academy in their academic department while concurrently operating as a Microsoft CPLS in their Continuing Education departments.
