The DCSO is different from most Sheriff’s Offices in the state. Our law enforcement duties, as set forth by the Metropolitan Government charter, are to house inmates and serve civil warrants. The MNPD is the primary criminal law enforcement agency in Davidson County. Return to list of questions.
