What is the difference between the Marine Biology and Marine Science courses?

0

You may wish to do a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Marine Biology or Marine Biology-Advanced or do a Bachelor of Marine Science. The Marine Biology program has core subjects based mainly around Biology subjects. In contrast the Marine Science program includes more subjects from disciplines such as Physics, Oceanography, Chemistry, Geology and Geography, as well as Biology. The Marine Biology-Advanced program is designed to prepare high-achieving students to be the next generation’s leaders in marine biology. As such, it is highly selective (OP 6 or less, or GPA 6.0 or better to transfer into the program after the first year), and has more extensive additional subject requirements, such as Maths.
