The U3 version is identical to the main FreeOTFE/FreeOTFE Explorer release with the exception that a slightly different directory structure is used to support the U3 platform, and the translation source files (“.po” files, which aren’t needed to use the software) have been removed. The “.u3p” file is simply a ZIP archive which has been renamed; it may be renamed to have a “.zip” file extension and uncompressed to verify its contents.
