What is the difference between the Kiosk & Desktop Editions?

The Kiosk edition comes with a limited interface which allows our clients to customize software to accommodate the particular needs of organization by building their own user interface. Whether it’s touch screen or push button, it’s completely designed by the client, and can be as simple or complex as needed. Typically the additional interface design by the client is done using Macromedia Director, but other programs will also produce similar results. The Kiosk edition has the option to incorporate the picture taking to be part of the automated process by working with a recommended camera that is chosen by the client (Aprilage does not recommend cameras). This edition is recommended for a stand alone exhibit or user station that requires no operator and minimal user intervention, while still being interactive.
