The Jobs Program is a mandatory work program providing, supportive services, vocational and educational training and employment opportunities specifically for recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The Job Service Program provides recruitment services to employers and help job seekers obtain employment. Yes, every adult receiving cash assistance is required to participate with the Jobs Program, unless the individual has been deferred from participation. My next-door neighbor has a child born in the U.S., she has informed me that she receives cash assistance and does not have to participate in the Jobs Program because she is not a U.S. citizen.
