What is the difference between the Internet and World Wide Web (WWW)?
The Internet is a collection of inter-linking computers or networks which communicate using a common language. One of these language standards is the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Information is distributed via this vast system of networks, until it reaches your computer. Fortunately for the computer world, the more memorable phrase World Wide Web was coined. Some people call a business advertisement on the WWW a “Web Page,” “Web Site,” or “Storefront.” All three terms are equally correct and used interchangeably.
