What is the difference between the GST rebate and sharing the gas tax?
The GST rebate is for cities and communities to spend on the priorities of their choice. Federal gas tax funding to be shared with cities and communities will be invested in environmentally sustainable community infrastructure. The level of funding is not related to gas tax consumption, nor is this a rebate.
