Miss Gateway St. Louis is a “closed” program in which only eligible contestants from St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County and Franklin County may compete. Miss Gateway to the West is an “open” program meaning any eligible contestant from elsewhere in the State of Missouri may compete.
