What is the difference between the developmental soccer program and the recreational program?
Our mission for developmental soccer is to provide progressive technical soccer training for enthusiastic young players (U9-U12) that will develop the “whole” person/athlete in an age appropriate context. Typical practices and game schedules are very similar to recreational soccer, though developmental teams will generally practice two nights during the week instead of one as most recreational teams do. At least twice per month they will practice with the second developmental team in their age group during one of their regularly scheduled practices. The games (8 10 per season) are generally held on Saturdays and occasionally on a Sunday like recreational soccer. Half of the games are at home (currently Wickham Park soccer fields for U9 & U10 and Johnson Jr. High for U11 & U12 developmental soccer), and half are at other fields generally within Brevard County, most within a half hour to forty-five minutes drive or less from home. Occasionally BYSL allows a team from outside of Brevard C
