What is the difference between the CP and the Didactic Program?

0

If you declare Dietetics and Nutrition as your major at FIU you are admitted to the didactic program. The Didactic program consists of the necessary courses needed to become an RD. If you complete the didactic program, you either apply to an internship (accredited by CADE) or a graduate program with a dietetic internship. This program is flexible enough to allow students to take time off from school or go part-time. The CP program integrates the supervised practice and the course work. Upon completion of the program, the student is eligible to take the RD exam. The CP is a limited access program, which means that only 18 of the didactic students who apply will be admitted each year.
