What is the difference between the CKC and the UKC?
The UKC is the largest all-breed dog registry in the world, they recognize rare and specialty breeds. They were founded on the concept of the total dog whereas the CKC operates on breed standard, which basically means the look of the dog. • Are your puppies registered? Yes our puppies are registered but are sold on a limited registration, private contract. We have a non-breeding agreement contract between the buyer and our kennel which states that we (the kennel) will hold the registration papers until proof of spay/neuter. At that time we will transfer registration of your puppy in your name. Puppies will be registered with either the CKC or UKC depending on which litters they come from. • What is a limited registration? A limited registration prohibits you (the buyer) from breeding your puppy/dog. If the dog is bred, the resulting offspring will not be recognized or registrable.
