What is the difference between the choosing the WDT clock source as WDT OSC or T1 ?
Answer If the WDT Clock Source is chosen as the WDT OSC, then when the system enters the Power Down mode the WDT timer will continue to function and when an overflow occurs the system will be woken up. If T1 is chosen as the clock source, then when the system enters the Power Down mode, then the WDT has no means of waking up the system. However choosing the WDT OSC comes with the cost of slightly increasing the power consumption of the device. Under conditions where the system is stable and does not have to be woken up by the WDT, then the T1 clock source could be selected.
