The “Check domain” feature checks for the availability of registering a domain name. The whois information provides detailed information about an existing domain name in Blarneystone, LLC’s records. It does not check for the existence of domain names in other Registrars. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at jimsmith@blarneystone.com.

Whois information provides details like registrar information, registrant information, domain name registered date, expiry date etc.,

Where as domain search provides whether the domain name is already registered or not. A domain search can be performed with any domain registrar.

A whois information for a domain name can be obtained by having a whois lookup from any whois information site like http://www.whoisxy.com/ Good luck.
