What is the difference between the certificate program and the associate of applied science degree?
With either option you take all the same professional courses as well as English 1101 and 1102. The degree requires an additional 23-24 hours of general education classes (history, psychology, etc.) to be taken before, during or after your professional coursework. All collegiate courses that are required and taken as part of the Sign Language Interpreting Program are counted towards the A.A.S. in Sign Language Interpreting.
