What is the difference between the BS degree and a BA degree in computer science?

Computer Science is the only major within the School of Engineering that offers a Bachelor of Arts degree. All engineering degrees are Bachelor of Science degrees. The BS degree requires many more math and science courses and is a much stronger computer science curriculum. The BA degree requires two semesters of foreign language, has nine more free electives and requires a minor in some other discipline.
