The Basic level is designed so that anyone can easily and inexpensively become BLUESM certified, and contribute to cleaner waterways and waterbodies while receiving economic benefits. The Advanced and Leader levels involve compliance with more practices that further reduce stormwater runoff, but may cost a little more to implement. The Leader level contains practices that exhibit the maximum positive influence that a property can have on waterways and waterbodies.
