What is the difference between the BA and the BSc programmes in Geography?
A BA is a Bachelors of Arts programme. The courses that are a part of this programme are predominantly social science courses although students must take some geographical science courses which have no prior science background as a prerequisite. A BSc is a Science programme. The courses that are part of this programme are predominantly science courses. A background in the pure and applied sciences is a prerequisite to entry into these programmes or may be done – all or in part – within the elective competent of the degree.
