What is the difference between the available AVI splitters?
Microsoft: Has problems playing incomplete and truncated files. This is the recommended splitter for non-broken files because it has the highest compatibility.Gabest / MPC internal: This one is able to play most incomplete (partially downloaded) and truncated files. On rare occasions it has trouble parsing a file.Haali: Has problems playing (truncated) files that don’t contain an AVI index. The advantage of this splitter is that it contains a stream switcher. That is useful for playing AVI files that have multiple audio tracks (which are quite rare) in players that don’t contain an audio switcher themselves, such as WMP and Media Center.
