The difference between these two levels is the amount of training required. The Professional level requires a minimum of 500 hours training or a state license (if required). The Practitioner level requires a minimum of 100 hours of training. Benefits are the same for both Professional and Practitioner level memberships, including a subscription to Massage & Bodywork magazine, ABMP’s Successful Business Handbook, the Touch Resource Guide, a certificate of insurance, ethics certificate, insurance guide, and membership identification. Both levels provide $2 million per incident in liability coverage with a combined aggregate of $9,000,000.
