The most significant difference between the two arrays is that the GeneChip® Mouse Gene 1.0 ST Array contains on average 27 probes spread across the length of the transcript while the The GeneChip® Mouse Genome 430 2.0 Array has on average 11 probes located only at the 3’ end of the transcript. Other differences are the updated gene content of the 1.0 ST array and its reduced cost compared to the 430 2.0 array.
