Apparently, prior to this model the rain cover had to be purchased seperately. Personally, I never had any need for a rain cover when my kids were in strollers! Two of the strollers I had included hoods (and both the 2006 and 2007 Maclaren Volo’s include hood)and that was plenty to protect them from the sun and any rain that might start suddenly. If you don’t spend long periods of time walking in the rain with your baby, I’d go for the 2006 model. There are quite a few of these available online right now for 30-40 dollars less than the 2007 model!
