What is the difference between TAMP and Transition Assistance Program (TAP)?
TAMP is a congressionally mandated briefing which provides separating service members and their family members information on their benefits and entitlements once they leave active duty. Topics include: VA Benefits, Reserve Information, Education Planning, Medical/Life Insurance, Stress Management, Relocation Assistance, and Financial Planning. TAP is an employment assistance interactive workshop, which helps the service member and their family members develop strategies for an effective Job Search. Topics include: Creating a Career Catalog, Skills, Preferences and Values Assessments, Career Development, Developing Effective Networking Techniques, Application and Testing Procedures, Resume Writing, and Interviewing Skills.
